It is our duty of care to investigate changes in children’s behaviour/appearance. Suspicions will be recorded and be referred to the relevant authorities. All suspicions and investigations will be kept confidential (including records), shared only with those that need to know. Where abuse is suspected, we will continue to welcome the child and parents whilst investigations proceed.
Burwell Early Learners will do all in its’ power to support and work with the child’s family. The care and safety of the child is paramount. We have a duty under the law to help safeguard children against suspected or actual ‘significant harm’.
